This stunning pendant features a handcrafted wire tree of life made from copper wire, wrapped around a natural blue labradorite teardrop cabochon with black striations that give it an eerie effect.
Labradorite is a calcium-enriched feldspar mineral first identified in Labrador, Canada. Labradorites can appear quite dark, often greyish or grey-green, but it is composed of aggregate layers that refract light. So, when the light is passed over you'll often see flashes of iridescent colours, often coppery red, peacock blue, gold and green. Labradorite is said to temper the negative side of our personality, and reduce anti-social, reckless, or impulsive behavior. Wearing or carrying Labradorite is said to allow one’s innate magical powers to surface.
The labrodorite with tree and little moonstone cabochon are elegantly wrapped in copper wire that has been oxidised to create a darker dramatic antiqued effect and then polished to bring out the shine of the copper. The delicate wire weaving and intricate swirly design add a touch of sophistication and style to any gothic ensemble. This pendant measures approx 6.5cm in height and is suspended on a 2mm diameter black waxed cotton cord necklace with lobster claw fastening and extender chain. The cord necklace measures approx 46-50cm (18-19.5 inches).
The metal will tarnish in time, and can be brightened by rubbing with a polishing cloth. Keep away from moisture, such as the swimming pool, bath and shower.
