The image doesn't peel or flake because the high quality sublimation inks are embedded into the glass for a long lasting image. There's 4 protective feet on the underside. Not only is it a great chopping board or protective surface for your hot hair appliances, it is a pretty addition to your kitchen or bedroom. It is made from toughened glass that has been tempered so that it can withstand heat.
